Sometimes photos just come so effortlessly and I barely have to pose my clients. That’s exactly how it was for Kelsey and her gorgeous kids! I just told them to play and love each other, and they killed it! They made my job as a Colorado Springs Family Photographer just way too easy. I was swooning over them during their sunset session and still can’t stop swooning over them now. There’s just something about their love and laughter that is contagious and I can’t stop smiling looking through their photos. It’s moments like these that deserve being captured forever. And this is why I just love being a Colorado Springs Family Photographer. These sweet moments are so fleeting and I love providing families with a means to showcase the precious times of their life.
Newborns have my heart. That might just be my 8-month pregnant self talking, but gosh, they are such cute little miracles and photographing them is so amazing. Being a Colorado Springs Lifestyle Newborn photographer definitely has its perks. What more could you ask for than a precious little bundle of joy?! I had the pleasure of meeting Lara and Charlotte over the weekend to snag these photos in Lara’s home, and it was so fun. Their dog Addie even joined in on the fun.
I’m definitely hoping to take more in-home lifestyle newborn photos like these. Little babies are so precious and these are the sweet moments parents will cherish forever. As a Colorado Springs lifestyle newborn photographer, I surely have the best job!Continue Reading
Being cold is no fun, yet here we were at 7 AM at Bear Creek Regional Park freezing our little buts off to get some cute photos while the sun was rising. Cold? YES. Worth it? Absolutely! I loved getting to take photos for Lauren and Justin (& obviously Archer) for a Colorado Springs couples sunrise session. I’ve been taking their photos for a few years now, and am so glad we were able to fit in one last session before they moved out of state for new Army adventures. Sessions with dogs are always great, and Archer was a little trooper braving the cold!
Two things I always highly recommend: sunrise sessions for the most beautiful golden light, and of course, DOGS! Bring your dogs, bring your dogs, bring your dogs!
Enjoy this Colorado Springs couples sunrise session, and hopefully you’re a little warmer than we were while taking the photos!
Here I am. Finally getting around to posting my 2019 favorites. A little delayed, but better late than never, right? There were so many amazing moments captured in 2019, that it was beyond difficult to pick my favorites from each session & wedding. Narrowing it down to a few per session out of the hundreds I deliver is HARD. And the only reason it’s so hard is because my clients are amazing. Yes, so AMAZING. They make my job so easy and effortless that I seriously feel like I’m living a dream every time I’m behind the camera. They’re sweet, giggly, gorgeous, adventurous and just downright awesome. And for that I’m so thankful!! And thankful is an understatement.
Thank you to all my clients for picking me and trusting me to capture your special moments. With each session I book, I’m more and more humbled by the awesome clients I get to work with and the faith they put in me. 2019 was surely a year for the books filled with bold weddings, mountain adventure sessions, the best laughs, lots of dogs and of course, the greatest clients ever.
Enjoy some of my favorites from 2019. Hopefully they’ll blow your socks off like they did mine. And if you’re looking for a bold and adventurous photographer in Colorado for 2020, know that I’m your gal. Feel free to reach out and get in touch– I’d love to hear from you!
I promise you there is never a dull moment during a family session. Never. Especially at one with 6 kids and a dog! These Cherry Creek family photos were SO much fun to take. Jennifer found me on Instagram and told me she had 6 kids, and I was already so excited for their photos before even meeting this lovely family. To make it easy on them, I met them close to their house in Cherry Creek at a gorgeous park that still even had some fall colors remaining. Their outfits were bright and coordinated, and they looked like a family straight out of a magazine. And to top it off, their instagram-famous dog, Mile High Max, surely stole the show.
I’ve recently been really trying to go for a candid and natural feel in my photos, and think I nailed that here. Lots of smiles and natural laughs as we walked, frolicked and giggled our way through the park. It can be challenging to get the “perfect” photo with so many people, but honestly, I think the perfect photo is usually found in the imperfect. A natural, fun family is what we had here and these Cherry Creek Family Photos capture them perfectly. Enjoy these Cherry Creek Family photos!
Brianna + Chris’ had a perfect day for their Rustic Lace Barn Wedding in Colorado Springs. Bold florals, the perfect fall day, and most importantly, their gorgeous dog, Shanny. Nothing tops a wedding with a dog! The Rustic Lace Barn is quickly becoming one of my favorite wedding venues in Colorado Springs. It has a historic renovated barn, a gorgeous ceremony location outdoors, and is close to Bear Creek Dog Park which makes a perfect mountain backdrop for wedding party photos as the sun sets. Brianna + Chris’ Rustic Lace Barn Wedding in Colorado Springs was just perfect and could be featured in a magazine.
You could just sense the love these two share together. Not only that, but the love their friends and family share for them speak volumes about their relationship. The way Chris smiled at Brianna during portraits just made my heart melt. I was so excited to get to tag along on their special day and capture some beautiful moments they’ll cherish forever. I hope you enjoy these photos of a gorgeous Colorado wedding day!
The couples I get to work with are seriously the greatest. I’m the luckiest Colorado Springs wedding photographer. Laci and Steve were no exception. They’re sweet, loving and lots of fun. They live in Fort Collins and wanted to have the wedding in the Springs since that’s where she grew up. I had never photographed a wedding at the Rustic Lace Barn as it’s a fairly new venue. I must say I’m impressed. The outdoor ceremony space surrounded by huge mature trees is breathtaking. It also made for the perfect spot for Laci and Steve to read letters to each other before the ceremony without seeing each other- it was so sweet and made my Colorado Springs wedding photographer heart happy!
I hope you enjoy their wedding photos full of bold burgundy colors, candid laughs, the most gorgeous florals (which the ladies at Rustic Lace did all by themselves), and the perfect start to a lifetime of happiness. A Colorado Springs wedding photographer dream!
I’m so very fortunate that my couples trust flying me in from out of state to photograph their weddings! Ashley and Will live on and own their own vegetable farm in Sandy, Oregon and thought it would be the perfect place for them to get married and have a farm to table wedding. So I packed my bags, hopped on a plane and traveled to Hood Hills Farm where they got married in front of their greenhouse tomato “tunnel”. The wedding couldn’t have been more them. Laid back, simple, but not lacking in fun, OR good food. Almost everything they served, they grew on the farm and prepared themselves. Talk about a true farm to table wedding! It was a gorgeous day on their lush green property with all the friends, food and dogs you could ask for.
A Pikes Peak elopement like Rob & Rebecca’s is EXACTLY the type of wedding I’m always dying to shoot. They’re a couple that is always found adventuring in the mountains with their seven kids. Since hiking and the outdoors is such a big part of their lives, they wanted to incorporate that into their wedding day with a Pikes Peak elopement, by hiking up to Catamount Reservoir with their family and their able guests. I was lucky enough to tag along with them on this gorgeous hike up, and watch as they were married with the most beautiful Pikes Peak backdrop behind them. For them, a Pikes Peak elopement couldn’t have been more perfect, especially since this Catamount Reservoir hike was their very first date together. They even recreated their first selfie together on a rock that overlooks Green Mountain Falls. I hope you enjoy their elopement photos as much as I enjoyed hiking up with them! If you’re looking for a photographer that is ready to hike to a beautiful destination with you to capture some awesome memories, I’m definitely your girl! I’ve got my backpack and hiking boots ready for another Pikes Peak elopement!
They say rain on your wedding day is good luck, but what about when it pours and thunders all day, then breaks with shining sun, JUST in time for bride and groom portraits?! That sounds super lucky to me! But Laura and John are lucky regardless. I was so grateful to get to be their Colorado wedding photographer and capture some sweet moments for them. Aren’t they cute? They got married at the Double Tree, then we headed down to the Heritage Gardens downtown for their bride and groom portraits. It was just perfect with all the summer foliage and not to mention the glowy sun shining through the trees. Their reception was held at Phantom Canyon Brewery on the 3rd floor and it was just perfect. My Colorado wedding photographer heart was SO happy to be along for this ride! I’m sure you’ll also enjoy the photos below!
